I. Joining
When joining your character please include all the information that is posted in the form on the board. DO NOT copy and paste your characters stats from another rpg, because I'm sure that the other rpg wasn't exactly the same as this one, meaning there are going to be things that make your characters personality that don't match this rpg, for instance. You may have a character like this: Name: Roberta Amelia Renaldo. Now, does that sound like the sort of name a person in the future would have....no. So don't do it. Also with your example post we would appreciate if you wrote a new one aside from copying and pasting. This is not a good way to start an RPG as we have no idea whether this is truly your work or not, and again the example post you copied and pasted probably won't match the plot on Olympus, so please create a new one.
II. Posting
This is an advanced RPG. I expect all posts to be more than a paragraph long. Try your best people, this site has a good plot and even when museless you should be able to post more than 5 liners. Describe what the surroundings are, what your character feels, what they look like. All this adds to the details of the post. Nobody likes reading plain posts. Also, double posting is strictly prohibited, as is 'bumping' your own thread. If you were rping with someone and they haven't replied, don't post seven times saying "Bump". Message an admin and they will try their best to get in touch with the person for you. This is a big rule for me, if someone has posted a beautiful post that is long & detailed, I beg of you if you don't think you can draw even with that standard of posting...don't reply. It isn't fair for the person who wrote the post if you reply with a 5 lined post
III. Maturity
Ok, as we mentioned just above this is an advanced game. So we expect members to have a fairly high level of maturity. In this rape and murder are allowed. Although we don’t encourage REALLY graphic sex/kill scenes, we will allow it, as long as you place XXX in the title of your thread. Also, fighting in threads I find extremely tacky and immature especially if you are arguing with admins or staff, so if you have a tiff with someone PM them, don’t make a thread called “Bob is sooo gay.”
IV. Admins & Staff Ok, first of all, staffs are gods. Meaning they say jump, you ask how high, and you don’t question their motives. We spent long hours creating this game so it would be attractive, fun and fair so please don’t give us crap if you don’t like something. If you don’t like the way we are running things, place a polite suggestion about it in the ‘Suggestion Box’ and we will see what we can do about it.
V. Fights and wars.
Ok, it is obvious that in a game like this, fights are going to pop up around the place. So, if it a fight where there is something trying to be achieved e.g. You are fighting because you wish to move up a rank in society. Then the outcome will be chosen by an admin, each player will have 3 posts and the end result will be judged on tact, quality of your posts and if you fight realistically.
Thank you, for taking the time to read the rules. Love from The Olympus Lives Team.
